This free online course helps educators and other aligned professionals understand how to support students who have had a left hemispherectomy or hemispherotomy, a type of brain surgery performed to stop severe seizures. You'll learn about the surgery and how it can affect a student’s vision, hearing, movement, learning, memory, and behavior. The course is divided into short, easy-to-follow video lessons featuring real-world examples, practical classroom strategies, and downloadable tools.
